Whole-person acupuncture care
Support for the concerns that affect daily life.
People often seek acupuncture because pain, poor sleep, stress, digestive discomfort, or a persistent sense of imbalance is making everyday life harder. At True North, treatment begins with the full picture: what you feel, how long it has been present, what changes it, and what you want to be able to do more comfortably.
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine can be used as complementary care alongside your primary and specialty medical treatment. Recommendations are individualized, and no single technique is appropriate for everyone.
Pain and mobility
Care for back, neck, shoulder, joint, muscle, and nerve-related discomfort may combine acupuncture with hands-on and movement-based support.
Stress and sleep
Quiet treatment, breath, and practical home practices may support relaxation, steadier sleep routines, and nervous system regulation.
Digestion and energy
Chinese medicine considers appetite, digestion, temperature, energy, sleep, and daily rhythms together when shaping a care plan.
Women's wellness
Acupuncture may be incorporated into supportive care for menstrual health, fertility preparation, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and menopause.
Related Chinese medicine techniques
More than needles: treatment shaped to the person.
Your visit may include one or more of the following approaches when clinically appropriate and with your consent:
Acupuncture
Fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at selected points. Dr. Orit explains the process and adjusts treatment to your sensitivity and comfort.
Cupping
Cups create gentle suction over selected areas and may be used for muscular tension, local circulation, and recovery support.
Gua Sha
A smooth tool is applied over the skin with controlled pressure to address areas of tension or restricted-feeling tissue.
Moxibustion
This warming technique uses mugwort near the skin and may be considered for comfort, digestive warmth, and constitutional support.
Ear seeds and auricular care
Small seeds or gentle ear acupuncture offer options for continued acupressure and whole-body regulation.
Herbal and nutritional consultation
Chinese medicine food guidance and herbal considerations may be discussed when they fit your goals and broader care.
Your first visit
A clear, unhurried start to acupuncture.
Your first treatment includes a conversation about your health history and goals, Chinese medicine tongue and pulse assessment, acupuncture treatment, and recommendations for care between sessions. Eat a light meal beforehand and wear comfortable clothing that can roll above the elbows and knees.
Treatment frequency varies with the nature and duration of the concern. Dr. Orit will explain the initial plan and reassess progress with you rather than promising a fixed outcome.
