Care that makes room for the full picture
Support that changes with you.
Women's health is not one isolated symptom or life stage. Sleep, stress, digestion, pain, energy, menstrual patterns, and emotional well-being can influence how you feel from day to day. Dr. Orit takes time to understand those relationships and build a plan around your priorities.
Acupuncture is complementary care. It does not replace evaluation or treatment from your primary care clinician, OB/GYN, reproductive endocrinologist, midwife, pelvic health provider, or other specialist. True North welcomes collaboration with the medical care you already receive.
Women's health and wellness
Reasons women may include acupuncture in their care.
Menstrual wellness
Whole-person support may consider menstrual comfort and regularity together with stress, sleep, digestion, energy, and pelvic well-being.
Fertility preparation
Acupuncture may serve as supportive care while you are preparing for pregnancy or working with a fertility team, without replacing medical diagnosis or treatment.
Postpartum recovery
Care can make space for rest, physical recovery, sleep disruption, stress, and the changing needs of the postpartum period.
Perimenopause
Treatment may focus on comfort and regulation during a transition that can affect temperature, cycles, sleep, mood, energy, and daily resilience.
Menopause
Acupuncture and practical self-care may be incorporated into a broader wellness plan for sleep, stress, temperature changes, tension, and quality of life.
Stress and sleep
Quiet treatment, breath, and movement practices may support nervous system regulation when stress or poor sleep compounds other concerns.
A personalized approach
Acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and movement chosen with consent.
A session may include gentle acupuncture, ear seeds or auricular care, moxibustion, nutritional or herbal consultation, breath work, and Pilates-informed or Chinese movement practices. The approach depends on your health history, goals, comfort, and any care you receive elsewhere.
Dr. Orit is a Doctor of Acupuncture and New York licensed acupuncturist, as well as a certified Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Pilates, and yoga teacher. That combination supports an approach attentive to pelvic stability, posture, mobility, breath, and the lived experience of the body.
What to expect
A respectful first visit without rushing.
Your first treatment begins with a private conversation about your history, current concerns, and goals. Chinese medicine tongue and pulse assessment helps guide a personalized acupuncture treatment, followed by recommendations for care between sessions.
You control what you share, and Dr. Orit explains the treatment before proceeding. Detailed medical information should be discussed through the appropriate intake process rather than ordinary email.
